ACTION LINE: GLIDE INTO

The Olympic Glide: Grace, Glory & Architecture of Survival

True grace isn’t found on solid ground; it’s found in the inevitable moment of movement. In my work, I think of the dancer or the immigrant—those who maintain perfect poise while the surface beneath them thins. We find our most honest selves in that tension between falling and gliding. This is where the Action Line becomes an act of survival..

To curate with elegance is to acknowledge this risk. Whether it’s Nan Goldin documenting beauty within the fray or 6 new Asian artists rewriting our borders, the goal is the same: to move with purpose. As Amber Glenn proved on the Olympic ice, this isn't a solo performance. We stay upright by leaning into each other. Looking toward 2026, the most beautiful structures aren't the ones that stand still—they are the ones that support each other through the motion.

“Moving into 2026, I believe more artists and curators will resist fixed categories and linear narratives. Diasporic thinking will deepen—not as a matter of origin or identity alone, but as a way of understanding movement, memory, material (both tangible and intangible), and entanglement.”
