“The Mirror of Possibility”: New Presence for Black Digital Artists

REVOLT Issues Open Call For Black Digital Artists For 2025 Art Fair At Art Basel Miami
As Art Basel Miami approaches, REVOLT’s open call invites Black digital artists to occupy space at the heart of one of the world’s most essential art weeks. This immersive fair, running December 2–6 at Ice Palace Studios, is about more than showcasing over 60 digital works—including AI-driven installations, sound experiences, and interactive programming. It is about expanding who gets to be present and how, bringing forth new voices who transform technology’s promise into lived artistic community. The fair’s centerpiece, The Mirror of Possibility, promises to blur the edge between audience and artist: a site where every visitor participates in the imagining of a more expansive future.
My Thoughts
The value of this open call lies as much in its generosity as in the opportunity it offers; a gift of presence to artists often sidelined. It opens access and creates space for visibility, allowing us to be seen and acknowledged within a digital presence. From VIP opening night to public programs and the closing celebration at REVOLT House, the event launches careers, builds connections, and sparks conversations. REVOLT’s growing tradition is proof that intentional invitation matters, offering a powerful way to reshape who gets seen, who gets celebrated, and who gets remembered during Miami’s dazzling and often very hectic week of creative exchange.
